UFC 278 promises to be an exciting event, featuring welterweight champion Kamaru Usman and title challenger Leon Edwards. This will be the second meeting between the two, who are still in their primes and on hot streaks.
When done well, trash-talking is one of the most imaginative, funny, and influential methods in sports. Trash-talking is an important tactic in MMA for unsettling your opponent, disturbing their focus, and pushing them to fight emotionally, which may result in a significant advantage.
Throughout the years, the UFC has been home to various trash talkers, giving fans some of the most memorable incidents and words in combat sports. The marketing, on the other side, has included some awful trash talkers with cringe-worthy personalities and a choice of words that would make any fan actively cheer against them.

Even if Usman and Edwards are among the finest in the division, their trash talk is not. During the press conference, the two got hot with one other, talking about the first fight, which Kamaru won. Leon claims that all Kamaru did at the finish of the bout was hold him for 30 seconds.
Kamaru big brothered Leon throughout the conference, even mocking Jorge Masvidal. The champion, who doesn’t generally go out of his way to put on a show, had a different intensity at the event, ensuring that he sold the fight ahead of his sixth title defence.
Kamaru and Leon seemed to have worked on his wrestling in preparation for the match, but hadn’t learnt any innovative trash talk. They have the following conversation telling each other, “We’re going to wrestle. we’re going to wrestle. Let’s wrestle, let’s wrestle, let’s wrestle.”
If you are an MMA fanatic, you will instantly get a deja vu. This is because similar trash talk took place beetween Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor at the UFC 229 press conference. Conor challenges Khabib amidst their heated argument, “Let’s wrestle! Let’s wrestle! Let’s wrestle! You’ll be wrestling my knuckle out of your orbital bone!”
So it looks like Kamaru-Edwards are both bad at trash talking and hence deserve a spot on the list for not only being a bad trash talker but for having no creativity.
