“Everyone Will Be Watching That”- Kamaru Usman continues to express his desire to fight Canelo Alvarez
Kamaru Usman vs Canelo Alvarez
At UFC 278 on August 20, Kamaru Usman will defend his welterweight title against No. 2 challenger Leon Edwards. While The Nigerian Nightmare’s recuperation from hand surgery in February is taking longer than anticipated, he is unlikely to make that deadline.
In an interview produced by Mac Life, Usman stated, “The hand is doing a little better,”I went to the doctor this week, and I can now make light hand contact.” When dealing with tendons that are significantly more difficult to repair quickly, this is exactly what happens. Especially when the knuckles are pressed against them.”
When asked about a certain comeback date, Usman stated: “I saw the doctor this week and I can start to make light contact with the hands. That’s just what sucks with these things, when you are dealing with tendons that are a lot tougher to heal right away. Especially when they are on top of the knuckles.“

Everyone’s going to be watching that fight.”
He also stated, “It’s never been done, pound-for-pound versus pound-for-pound, And, they’re significantly close in weight classes to be able to do it — why not?!” Usman tells us he wants to switch to the lightweight division and fight either Jan Bachowicz or Ji Procházka if a fight with Canelo is not imminent.
