Kamaru Usman and Khabib Nurmagomedov share a very special relationship. Both the fighter are managed by the same manager and have been good friends for a long time. Pranks and jokes are always part of a friendship with the former lightweight champion and the reigning welterweight champ reveals his funny conversation with Khabib during the UFC Hall-of-Fame induction.

Earlier this month, Khabib Nurmagomedov was inducted into the hall of fame for his amazing career and accomplishments in the sport of mixed martial arts and especially in the UFC. The UFC Hall of Fame is a very special group to be a part of. The Dagestani fighter retired as the lightweight champion and the number pound-for-pound champion.

For his 29-0 career, Khabib deservedly was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame. Recently during International Fight Week, the press conference for UFC 278 took place with Kamaru Usman and Leon Edwards sharing the stage. The welterweight king shared his thoughts on his friend, Khabib being inducted into the Hall of Fame.

“Oh, it is very very deserving. He is a Hall of Famer not just as an athlete but as a person. And he has told me I have to put my head down when he walks into the room because he has a hall of fame jacket, so I don’t have that yet so I have to give that respect,” said Kamaru at the UFC 278 press conference.

“Khabib is an incredible guy. He is an incredible athlete when he was here in this organization. You know, I wish him all the best. Right now, he is starting to rewrite what it is to be an MMA coach by building all these guys so much respect to him.”

Kamaru Usman will undoubtedly be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame one day in the future. The Nigerian Nightmare is considered the greatest welterweight of all time by many MMA fans and also the aces of the sport. He is yet to be defeated in the UFC and has been a very dominant champion.
