UFC 278 gave fight fans one of the most shocking moments in recent UFC history. Kamaru Usman who was on a 15 fight Winning streak was expected to go through Leon Edwards easily. However, that wasn’t the case as Edwards won the fight via KO.

The fight as expected was inclined towards Usman as the ‘Nigerian Nightmare‘ took control of the fight and was ahead in the points. In the last minute when everyone thought Edwards was done, the Brit hit Usman with a nasty kick out of nowhere and dropped him.

As the crowd went crazy, the camera shifted towards the front rows of the octagon. In the video, Usman’s daughter, Samirah was crying and was being consoled.

Usman recently appeared at the ‘Joe Rogan Experience‘ podcast and during the conversation, the pair discussed his recent loss

While talking about the aftermath of the fight, Usman revealed that when he was with his manager Ali Abdelaziz he watched the clip of the fight. Usman mentioned that as he was watching the clip,he saw his daughter crying after he got knocked out by Edwards. Usman then explained that seeing her daughter cry was extremely hard for him and was very bad moment. He said :

“What hit my heart little bit was when I was in the hospital with Ali. We were at the hospital and I was getting scared. I was already back, I was watching the video clip of it he showed me that, cause I wanted to see how it happened and but then the camera pans into the audience and they showed my daughter. my daughter was crying. It was like a weirdest thing, it was like an instant trigger response like boom. My heart, like I wanted to cry just seeing that for her because as a parent, as a father that’s one of the worst things.”

Usman later faced a lot of criticism from fight fans as well as UFC superstar, Conor McGregor for bringing the kids to the fight. Many fans claimed that a fight is not a place for the kids to be as it can get nasty and that’s exactly what happened that night.
