“I believe in myself”- Kamaru Usman vows to beat Canelo Alvarez in his backyard
Ali Abdelaziz talks Kamaru Usman vs Canelo Alvarez
Kamaru Usman has proved time and time that he is the most dominant champion in the current UFC roster. The ‘ Nigerian Nightmare’ has defended his title multiple times and shut down his opponents that came in his way.
Usman is currently the UFC number one pound-for-pound fighter and will probably be there for some time. Months ago, he conveyed his intentions in order to fight Canelo Alvarez in a boxing bout. However, Alvarez didn’t show any interest and ignored the call-out.
After that both the parties have been part of several twitter altercations throwing shade towards each other. Alvarez made fun of Usman’s manager Ali Abdelaziz on twitter and Usman replied back too.
Recently, after Alvarez lost his light heavyweight bout against Dmitry Bivol, Usman made a tweet to mock Alvarez.
Fights have shown negative reactions towards this idea as they don’t want Usman to go against the boxer. But despite all that criticism, Usman has his mind set on the gold and probably that huge payday.

Kamaru Usman comments on the Canelo Alvarez fight
Usman was recently spotted during the Eagle FC pre-fight show and was interviewed by ‘MMA Underground‘. In the interview, Usman opened up about his hand injury, possible title contender for his title and boxing bout with Alvarez.
While talking about Alvarez Usman revealed that he has confidence in himself that he can fight and win against the Mexican. Usman explained that he is not scared of getting into the ring with Alvarez and is ready for that challenge.
“If I believe in myself that it can be done, why can’t it be done? … I’m brave enough to step in there and do that.”
After Alvarez’s loss against Bivol, he’s been really quiet and is training for his next fight. The fighter must be thinking of making a huge comeback from the loss and shut the haters. In a situation like this it’s hard to consider that he would take the fight against Usman anytime soon.
