“More Superman than Batman”- Kevin Holland trolls Joaquin Buckley after claims of fake heroics
Kevin Holland responds to Joaquin Buckley
Kevin Holland will not hold back from trolling his former rival Joaquin Buckley following his comments on the Trailblazer’s heroics in public. Ahead of his fight, Kevin addresses the issue with Buckley in the media presser.
Joaquin Buckley and Kevin Holland never liked each other. And to be fair to Buckley, after being at the end of a devastating knockout like the one against Kevin in 2020 at UFC Fight Night, one cannot be expected to bury the hatchet. Holland has moved on from the rivalry against Buckley and was recently part of real-life heroics in public. The entire community of mixed martial arts appreciated Holland for his good deed except for Joaquin.
The middleweight fighter took the recent headlines with a pinch of salt and claimed in interviews that Holland was “faking” his heroics. Joaquin also called Kevin, selfish. Ahead of his Fight Night event in Houston, Kevin spoke about the beef with Buckley at the pre-fight press conference. It is very unlikely that someone like Kevin would let comments like that of Joaquin slide past without giving a response. And in the pre-fight presser, Kevin absolutely went in on his former rival.

“More Superman than Batman,” said Holland responding to Buckley accusing Holland of pretending to be Batman. “Tell Buckley, switch the lanes. What the f**k is Buckley even talking for anyway. Is he still finding his mouthpiece from the crowd or the Shadow Realm?” said Holland recalling his brutal knockout of Buckley in the year 2020.
Kevin also pulled out cash that he recently received for sponsorship and said he will offer all that money to Joaquin. “Boom Buckley, I will take you shopping. Here is some money for you Buckley. Child support, I got you, kid.” Kevin recently moved down to the welterweight division in 2022 after his losing skid in the middleweight division. Despite winning the “Fighter of The Year” award for his five straight wins in 2020, Holland believes it is time he moves down to the welterweight division.
After a win against Alex Oliveira at UFC 272, Kevin is ready to take on Tim Means in a welterweight matchup this weekend. Tim is a veteran of the sport with over 40 fights in his professional career and this is tough matchup for Holland.
