Former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov makes headlines again for his simplicity. Nurmagomedov recently appeared at an event in Las Vegas. During the event, Nurmagomedov revealed the hilarious story of his getting confused about gender-neutral bathrooms in California. Gender-neutral bathrooms are not a norm in his country.
The Eagle recalled the hilarious incident during an interview in Las Vegas. He said, “I only know men and women. There’s nothing in between. It’s crazy. A few weeks ago I was in California and I went to a cafe. I wanted to go to the bathroom. They showed me where to go. I go upstairs and there are two doors that say “For all genders.”
He went on to mention the difficulty he faced during this situation. Nurmagomedov lives in the remote area of Dagestan which is away from the culture of the modern world. The ideology that Nurmagomedov follows states that there are only two genders male and female and no other. This explains the confusion faced by Nurmagomedov.
Nurmagomedov is one the most legendary and dominant UFC fighters. His record of 29 wins and zero losses is one for the history books. He achieved this status while following a strict and disciplined routine. He also believes majorly in his faith and doesn’t support any “woke” ideologies.
Khabib Nurmagomedov refused to train Elon Musk
Since his callout over Mark Zuckerberg for a fight, Elon Musk has interacted with many people from the MMA community. He has trained with UFC legend Georges St-Pierre in preparation for the Zuckerberg fight. Many MMA fighters have offered to train with both billionaires.
Musk decided to reach out to Khabib Nurmagomedov for better-grappling training and a spar. It is reported that he doesn’t want to do it due to his principles. One of his personal friends said “Khabib’s refusal was a matter of principle. He has wrapped up his coaching and sports career and nothing can change this. Musk’s [present-day] status plays no role at all.“
The fight between Musk and Zuckerberg is edging closer day by day. It will be interesting in seeing which other fighters will train with the billionaires next. Nurmagomedov is a strong follower of his faith and principle which allows him to focus properly.
