“My father sell his house” – Khabib Nurmagomedov credits his father’s sacrifices for his hall of fame induction

Khabib Nurmagomedov gets awarded for being a part of UFC 2022 Hall of Fame panel at the ceremony on Saturday inside the T- Mobile Arena. Earlier this year Nurmagomedov got inducted in the Hall of Fame for his impeccable UFC career and achievements. The Dagestani is considered as one of the most dominant fighters the sport has ever seen.
Nurmagomedov is a former world sambo champion which made him a monster on the ground. The fighter absolutely demolished everyone whoever came in his way. Nurmagomedov has a perfect professional record of 29-0 with 19 finishes.
Initially, Nurmagomedov was known only for his ground game but as he grew he developed his skills on the feet. The fighter had an amazing defence and rarely took any heavy hits from his opponents. In a sport where fighters bleed, get injured and lose every time, Nurmagomedov never bled or lost.
Nurmagomedov is highly considered as the UFC lightweight GOAT for his dominance and title defences against tough opponents. The ‘Eagle’ was also the part of the biggest pay-per-view event of UFC history when he and Conor McGregor fought at UFC 268.

Nurmagomedov was extremely happy and proud of his new achievement and gave an interview to the MMA underground during the red carpet event.
While talking about his emotions Nurmagomedov revealed that he is very happy and honoured. He described how his struggle and his father’s hard work made him what he is today.
Nurmagomedov said : “Very big honor. You know, it’s like all my hard works pay off. You know, because all my life I was work so hard. I’m from very poor life. I remember like 23 years ago how my father sell his house and he bring me all my brothers, we move to capital city because in village is too much opportunity. We move to captial city and we’re all living together in one house and stay there eat l, training sleep repeat. Go to the school someone go college university it was like army life. I’m very happy and now I realise how father how his vision was very far.”
Nurmagomedov undoubtedly deserves the respect he is getting from his peers and fans. The former champion has given a lot to the sport and has also did a lot for his people.
