Former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov was one of the most dominant fighters during his reign. During his time as a professional fighter, Nurmagomedov led a very focused and committed life. This helped him become the best in the world. Nurmagomedov credits his father and his upbringing for his legendary career. He recently spoke about how the father-son relationship is different in Russia and America.
Nurmagomedov recently appeared on the PBD podcast hosted by entrepreneur Patrick Bet-David. He spoke about how people would not understand the relationship he had with his father. When asked why, Nurmagomedov replied, “Because America has freedom too much freedom. There have to be rules”. He also said that it doesn’t matter where a person is from they have to teach their children rules, discipline, and schedule.
Nurmagomedov started training at a very young age and was guided by his father throughout his career. His father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov was a wrestler and sambo specialist himself. He was known for his extreme training methods and helpful demeanor. Nurmagomedov had high levels of respect and love for his father. He retired in 2020 as he could not continue fighting without his father in the corner,
Nurmagomedov credits his success to his father’s hard work and determination. He was one of the most dominant champions with title defenses over former champions and veterans. Nurmagomedov’s retirement was a shock to the MMA community as he was on a perfect win streak. Fans will look forward to seeing the Eagle step back into the ring soon.
Khabib Nurmagomedov accepts that he made a mistake brawling after Conor McGregor’s fight

The fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor will always be one of the most iconic fights in UFC history. There was a lot of trash-talk leading up to the fight and it resulted in a brawl after the fight ended. Nurmagomedov successfully choked out McGregor in the fourth round and retained his title. But after being called out by McGregor’s teammate Nurmgomedov jumped the cage and into the crowd to start a massive brawl.
During his appearance on the PBD podcast, Nurmagomedov reminisced about the brawl. He spoke about how McGregor had been attacking his family, religion, and personality. He believes that he tried his best to control it and could not keep it in for any longer. Nurmagomedov went on to say that he is a human and he made a mistake that he regrets.
Both fighters were suspended for months by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. The brawl was also seen as a reflection of the bad blood between Nurmagomedov and McGregor, which had been brewing for months leading up to the fight
