The Barbie movie became a massive success worldwide and grossed over a billion dollars at the box office. It was such a sensation that former lightweight champion and UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov expressed his thoughts on the film. Nurmagomedov leads a simple life outside the ring and keeps his religious beliefs in mind. He is religious and has a conservative view of the world.

He recently posted a story on his Instagram of a pink dessert. The photo was captioned with a Barbie sticker and a cross over it. Nurmagomedov is a Muslim and believes that love is a powerful emotion that can be both positive and negative. He has said that he does not like watching movies about love because he believes they can make people weak.

With a huge star cast led by Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, the movie was much anticipated by the viewers. The global box office revenue for the Barbie movie has surpassed $1 billion, making it a huge hit. It is the most successful live-action movie based on a Mattel property to date. The film’s success is evidence of the potency of a well-made movie with a strong message.

The movie also references the LGBTQ+ community, which may be a reason for Nurmagomedov’s comments. Khabib’s feelings about love and feminism are complex. He is a deeply religious man who believes that love can be both a positive and negative force. He is also a successful athlete who has accomplished much in his career. The feministic theme of the film does not sit well with the prevailing beliefs in Dagestan.

UFC lightweight fighter Kevin Lee had joined Nurmagomedov’s Eagle FC after leaving the UFC for a short period. He fought Diego Sanchez in his debut and won via unanimous decision. Lee left the organization with four fights in his contract to return to the UFC. He lost to Rinat Fakhretdinov in his return fight.

Nurmagomedov’s long-time coach Javier Mendez spoke about Lee and his ambitions outside Eagle FC. Mendez said, “The warning signs for me were when Kevin was talking about, ‘Hey, I’m beyond these little shows at the Apex.’ And to me, it’s like, ‘Your focus should have been on winning and your opponent.” He also talked about Lee not focusing on his training and getting distracted.

The defeat was a setback for Lee, who was once regarded as a top lightweight contender. He must rebound in his next fight if he wants to return to title contention. Proper training and a focused mindset are what Lee needs to get back into the fight game. However, Lee abruptly decided to retire. Hence, it remains to be seen if Kevin Lee will change his mind about returning to competition.
