Khabib Nurmagomedov wanted to talk with Conor McGregor as he was mauling him inside the octagon at UFC 229. UFC peaked when two of the biggest superstars, Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov, had their rivalry in UFC 229. Both fighters didn’t hold back from each other during the build-up to the fight and a lot of drama took place, which gathered massive attention from fight fans all around the world.
McGregor made a lot of personal comments on Nurmagomedov’s family and religion and the Dagestani paid back in full interest inside the octagon on the fight night. The fight went for four rounds and Nurmagomedov demolished McGregor in every aspect of the sport.
It has been five years since the biggest pay-per-view event in the UFC took place and on this occasion, Khabib Nurmagomedov shared a picture of him beating McGregor in the fight in his Instagram story. In the caption, he wrote, “I wanted to chat here (in my own language) But the dialogue never took place.”
The ‘Eagle’ mentioned that he wanted to chat and fight fans still remember the fighter screaming ‘Let’s talk now’ as he punished McGregor in the fight. Nurmagomedov doesn’t really speak about McGregor a lot but this time he might have ruffled some feathers of his old nemesis.

Conor McGregor vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov is undoubtedly one of the biggest nights in UFC history and even after the fight ended, it didn’t stop the action. After the fight, Nurmagomedov was angry at McGregor’s teammate, Dillon Danis, and jumped over the cage into the crowd, which initiated a massive brawl.
While it was going on inside the octagon, his teammates ganged up to beat McGregor, who had some extremely sensitive things to say about their community. While the security tried to stop them, McGregor did try to defend himself and landed a left hand on one of the attackers.
While remembering the moment half a decade ago, McGregor made fun of Khabib’s teammates. “Dead rats in the swamp,” he wrote in his latest tweet. UFC 229 had some biblical moments and Khabib Nurmagomedov wasn’t given the belt inside the octagon after what went down that night.
