Famous UFC fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov talked about gender, politics, and America in an interview with Patrick Bet-David.

Undefeated fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov came on the PBD podcast recently. Khabib spoke in length about several topics other than fighting to host Patrick Bet-David. They spoke about the Russian president, the American people, and Khabib’s thoughts on politics and gender, amongst other things.

Nurmagomedov first came to the US in 2012. Since then, he has learned a lot about America. He mentioned that there existed a lot of differences in the mentality between Russians and Americans. Furthermore, he stated that Russians are happy with small things and are more traditional regarding family values. However, being a loyal Dagestan, Nurmagomedov stated he liked certain aspects of the US. Nurmagomedov said, “But this is the only country where I can wear whatever I want, cover myself, no mask. I go to Starbucks, sit for 1 hour, drink coffee, enjoy my life.”

Nurmagomedov cannot do this in Russia, the Middle East, or Europe, which is why he felt America was better in some regards. He also talked about the American people during the interview. He stated that the American people have showered love and appreciation toward him. Furthermore, Nurmagomedov liked to explore the cultures of other countries and got accustomed to the US.

However, because of his deep-rooted family ties and background, he preferred to reside in Dagestan. Khabib once mentioned that he resided there because he could not find his family and relatives overseas.

Khabib Nurmagomedov defends Israel Adesanya

People consider the undefeated, former undisputed UFC Lightweight champion as the best pound-for-pound fighter of all time. Nurmagomedov’s manager Ali Abdelaziz once commented about how Khabib could easily beat Israel Adesanya if Nurmagomedov fought in the middleweight division.

Khabib Nurmagomedov was once asked to give his opinions about his manager’s comment and the potential match-up. In response to the suggestion, Nurmagomedov declared that he would not compete in that weight class and defended Adesanya. Subsequently, he stated that this was Adesanya’s time to shine, so nobody should try to take away his greatness.

The current UFC middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya, has a record of 24 wins with two defeats. Furthermore, Adesanya is set to defend his title against Sean Strickland in the main event of UFC 293.
