Khabib Nurmagomedov is one the of the greatest fighters in the history of mixed martial arts and an appreciation from him would mean a lot to a fighter who is trying to make a name for himself in the sport. Khabib recently met Mateusz Gamrot after his win against Arman Tsarukyan at UFC Vegas 57. Mateusz and Arman fought at the main event of UFC Vegas 57 and the 5 round fight got everyone’s attention.
Mateusz and Arman had a nail bitting contest and after 25 minutes of action, it was Mateusz who came out victorious. The fight was decided by judges who scored the fight 47-48, 47-48 and 47-48 in favor of Mateusz. Mateusz struggled in the opening rounds but made a comeback with his superior grappling. After a close battle, Mateusz won the fight via a unanimous decision.
After his victory, Khabib congratulated Mateusz and even told him he might fight Islam Makhachev in the future. Khabib and Mateusz were seen talking outside the octagon after the fight and Mateusz, in his post fight interview, revealed what Khabib said to him. Mateusz said: “Khabib, say me ‘congratulations on your fight, you are a nice guy. For sure, in the future you meet with Islam Makhachev in fight.”

The fight between Mateusz and Arman was exactly like it was advertised. The fight left everyone spell-bound and even UFC fighters were amazed by the amazing performances of both fighters inside the octagon. The main event bout between the top lightweight fighters in the division even earned the fight of the night bonus and it is justified because of the action in brought inside the octagon.
UFC fighters like Islam Makhachev, Dustin Poirier and Jan Blachowicz tweeted about the fight and congratulated both fighters for showcasing amazing skills and spirit during the fight. Khabib also tweeted about the fight and said he could have watched five more rounds of the fight because of the entertainment it brought.
Mateusz extended his winning streak to 4 and now he has a professional record of 21 wins and 1 loss. Mateusz was ranked 12th in the lightweight division, while Arman was raked 11th. Gamrot has also expressed his desire to fight Justin Gaethje in his next fight and has extended his support to Islam Makhachev for a potential fight against Charles Oliveira.
