Khabib Nurmagomedov was among the most dominant fighters ever competing in the UFC. With his chain wrestling and brutal ground and pound, Nurmagomedov wreaked havoc in the UFC’s lightweight division. Even after retirement, he has remained very strong, as evidenced by the statements made by the fighter he currently trains. One of his cousins revealed that whenever he felt he was the best, a training session with Nurmagomedov would make him feel otherwise.

Even though Nurmagomedov showed his violent side inside and outside the octagon, many consider Nurmagomedov funny. Daniel Cormier had a lot of stories to tell about Nuramgomedov’s humor. Islam Makhachev had also made similar comments about Nurmagomedov. The Russian was at an event where the host asked who he would be with if he was alone on an Island. The audience at the event burst into laughter as Nurmagomedov answered the question. Interestingly, it was a kid who asked the question that the host relayed to the Russian fighter. Moreover, Nurmagomedov did not even find the question funny and sternly advised the host to educate the kid about it.

Nurmagomedov’s cousin, Umar, fought at the recent UFC Fight Night, where he dominated Bekzat Almakhan. Javier Mendez, Umar’s head coach, revealed that Nurmagomedov feared for Umar as he was to fight an unknown debutant. Despite the early knockdown in round 1, Umar eased past to victory.

Khabib Nurmagomedov was recently in Surrey, British Columbia, for an interview with Class A Events. In the interview, Nurmagomedov answered many questions about his past, present, and future. One of the questions asked by the audience was the book Nurmagomedov would like to have if stranded on an island.

Nurmagomedov’s answer was not a surprise due to his deep belief in the religion of Islam. As expected, Nurmagomedov’s answer was none other than the Holy Quran. Nurmagomedov had often posted verses from the Quran on his social media.

Moreover, he also criticized people who have disrespected the Quran on multiple occasions. He famously bashed Emmanuel Macron after the French President made statements that Nurmagomedov felt disrespected his religion. Interestingly, he made his contempt known via a social media tweet with a verse from the Quran.
