Chimaev and Khabib have subtly crossed each other many times now
With Khabib Nurmagomedov’s recent comments on Khamzat Chimaev and the company he keeps, a lot of people have started pointing out the same regarding the former lightweight champion. In this case Khabib’s cousin, Kamil Amirgamzaev has become a topic of discussion.
Khabib’s comments about Chimaev needing to keep “Good Muslims” in his company gained the former champion a lot of flak with many pointing out his hypocrisy in keeping around his cousin who tried to kill a foreign exchange student.
Kamil who resides in Makhachkala, Dagestan is a cousin of the former champion and apparently a person of note in the community. Last year some foreign exchange students who were playing football suffered the wrath of this man for a very seemingly stupid reason.
The students from Egypt, studying the Medical University of Dagestan were heading back to their residence after playing a game of football. However, they were still wearing their game kits and walking back to their place in football shorts. Kamil took offense to this and confronted the students, hitting one of them , known only by the name, Youseff on the head and then pulling a gun to his head.
The matter gradually deescalated when Kamil charged off in a vehicle but the student decided to file a complaint regarding the same. Following this Kamil reportedly apologized to the students leading to the charges against him to be dropped.
Khabib Nurmagomedov’s cousin was also accused of selling nude photos of local girls
Those who defend this act, claim it is because Dagestan is a conservative place and roaming around in shorts may be taken as a disrespectful act. However, Khabib and his family earn a living, fighting only in shorts on international television.
While the prior complaint against him Kamil can be attributed to religious piety, a second accusation against him says the polar opposite. The same cousin, Kamil was also accused of publishing “nude” photos of Dagestani girls and selling them to other websites.
According to a Dagestani Lawyer, – Back in 2014-15 Kamil Amirgamzaev “collected” nude pictures and videos from Dagestani girls and sold them to the guy who owned “gossip05” website. According to the same source, at least two of these girls were under the age of 15.
There have been no further details regarding these accusations.
