Khabib Nurmagomedov has etched his name as one of the greats in Mixed Martial Arts. Last year, ‘The Eagle’ announced a documentary was being made on him and would be released this summer. As such, an announcement of the documentary’s release came to light today. Notably, many MMA documentaries came out last year, including that of Nurmagomedov’s rival Conor McGregor. As such, many critiqued the Dagestani for following his rival.

During a live session through social media, Khabib Nurmagomedov and UFC CEO Dana White disclosed the announcement of the documentary for the first time. This happened in August of 2023. At the same time, Nurmagomedov unveiled the film, which would be released by the summer of 2024. Now, many MMA outlets shared an unofficial poster of the documentary named ‘The Eagle’ and claimed it would be released by fall.

Khabib Nurmagomedov’s arch-enemy Conor McGregor released a docuseries on Netflix called McGregor Forever. It followed the life of ‘The Notorious’ right from his comeback to face Nurmagomedov to his rehabilitation of the gruesome leg injury he suffered in UFC 264. As such, many fans claimed ‘The Eagle’ copied McGregor’s style to release a documentary.

However, Khabib Nurmagimedov deserved a documentary of his own, considering the feats he achieved in MMA. He remained an icon in the combat sports realm with an undefeated record of 29 wins and no losses. ‘The Eagle’ retired from fighting after his father passed away to keep a promise he made to his mother. Since, then, he helped his Dagestani brothers in their fighting careers.

Khabib Nurmagomedov was a man of his word. As such, he kept his promise of releasing a documentary this year. According to reports, Nurmagomedov’s documentary ‘The Eagle’ would be released by fall 2024. The Dagestani retired on top as the lightweight champion in 2020. He started training in martial arts under his beloved father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov. As such, his journey was one to behold, and a documentary would shed more light on his life, from his upbringing to his fighting career.

Fight fans weren’t pleased with the announcement. They soon compared Conor McGregor and his documentary McGregor Forever. Also, they brutally trolled Khabib Nurmagomedov for his wrestling dominant fight style. Anyway, this documentary would elate Nurmagomedov’s fans. However, there was no mention of the exact release date or release platform. So, one has to wait for further updates.
