Brendan Schaub recently tweeted about what Khamzat Chimaev said at UFC 294 pre-fight presser. Chimaev provided a glimpse of what happened at UFC 279. What Chimaev said at the presser has sparked intrigue among the fans.

Chimaev said at the presser, “Everyone speak about my. I didn’t make weight you know, once in my life. There was some plans to do that. Someway it was not my plans. I can’t say everything here.”Brendan Schaub reposted the video with the caption, “Weird. Callllled that and took a lot of heat for being a “Conspiracy guy.” At UFC 279, UFC did a major reshuffle, resulting in the main event being Diaz vs Ferguson. Chimaev fought Kevin Holland in the co-main event. There was a lot of controversy surrounding the event at the time. With Chimaev’s recent revelation, fans speculated a lot of things.

Chimaev had a recent opponent change as his original opponent, Paulo Costa, withdrew due to injury. Kamaru Usman replaced Costa on ten days notice. With the inclusion of Usman, the UFC 294 has turned out to be better than the initial fight card. Alexander Volkanovski had already replaced an injured Charles Oliveira on 12 days notice.

UFC 294 would be Chimaev’s consecutive co-main event for the UFC. He last fought at UFC 279 in the co-main event. If victorious at UFC 294, Chimaev would be next in line to challenge Sean Strickland for the middleweight title. Interestingly, Strickland and Chimaev have trained with each other before at Extreme Couture.
