“Let’s go”- Khamzat Chimaev extends an olive branch to Conor McGregor

Khamzat Chimaev is currently in search of his next opponent. The fighter last fought Gilbert Burns at UFC 273 and won the fight. It was a massive opportunity for Chimaev to take on the #3 ranked fighter in division. Although the fight was extremely close and Chimaev didn’t expect Burns to be that tough, ‘The Borz’ Won the fight via decision.
Since the fight, Chimaev has been desperately trying to get his next fight as soon as possible. Chimaev had also participated in different online altercation with other UFC superstars to fight. Chimaev’s name was previously linked with Colby Covington but now it’s hard to see that fight. Covington will most probably fight Dustin Poirier in July and there is no place for Chimaev.
Khamzat Chimaev wants to join Conor McGregor for a trip to his native Chechnya
Chimaev recently shared a clip of McGregor on his official Twitter account asking him to go to Chechnya. This came after the latter shared a clip on his Twitter account saying ” Let’s go to Chechnya”.
” @TheNotoriousMMA let’s go ?? ??,” wrote Chimaev.
Khamzat Chimaev’s birthplace is Chechnya (a republic of Russia). But Chimaev currently fights from Sweden and is a three-time Swedish national champion in wrestling. This is the reason he was excited to join Conor to go to Chechnya.
This is not the first time that Khamzat Chimaev has tried to be friends with the former two division UFC champion. Not long ago when Conor said that he wants to fight for the welterweight title Khamzat invited him to train with him and Darren Till. Nevertheless, McGregor didn’t respond to Khamzat’s offer.
Many fight fans find similarities between Khamzat Chimaev and Khabib Nurmagomedov. However, their opinion towards Conor might be one of the most differentiating things. What do you think?
