Khamzat Chimaev is all set to fight his sixth UFC fight and this time he will be against UFC veteran Nate Diaz. Chimaev on his last octagon appearance at UFC 273 went on a war with Gilbert Burns and beat the Brazilian via a split decision. It was a close fight but at the end, Chimaev became the new #3 ranked fighter of the division.
On the other hand, Diaz who will be fighting his last UFC bout of his contract has won a fight since 2019. However, the fighter has a huge fan base who are going crazy to see him back inside the octagon.
Diaz’s former rival, Jorge Masvidal recently did an interview with MMA Fighting in which he talked about his opinions on Chimaev. During the conversation, Chimaev is not worth the hype and can lose the fight against Diaz. He said :
“That was supposed to be his coming out party and it didn’t go according to plan. A lot of people still think Gilbert won that fight. I don’t really think Khamzat is as good as they say he is. I’m more of a see then believe [guy] and I haven’t seen anything that makes me a believer in this guy yet. I, personally, would love to break his face. Once he starts selling pay-per-views and s* like that, I wouldn’t mind breaking his f* face… I think Khamzat probably wins, but I can see Nate putting him away in rounds four or five because Khamzat doesn’t have that gas tank. He doesn’t have that experience, and I think he gets too in the moment where he’s wasting energy doing stupid sh**”
Khamzat Chimaev brutally mocks Jorge Masvidal by sharing an old unforgettable picture
It seems like those comments from Masvidal didn’t go unnoticed from Chimaev aa the Russian decided to hit back.
‘The Borz’ took to Twitter in order to share the pictures of Masvidal from UFC 261 against welterweight champion Kamaru Usman. Chimaev wrote :
“Wake up buddy @GamebredFighter 😂 .”
In the pictures, Masvidal can be seen lying on the floor after getting knocked out by Usman in the second round.
The knockout is considered to be one of the most brutal KOes ever in the UFC. After that loss Masvidal again lost his next fight against Colby Covington this year. The ‘ Gamebred’ is currently in a tough spot in UFC and is eager to turn the tables as soon as possible.
