“Very POLARISING” Khamzat Chimaev’s Villainous Arc leaves Michael Bisping “in love with” the Borz’s pro-wrestling heel

Michael Bisping- Khamzat Chimaev

Surely Khamzat Chimaev has lost a lot of fan support after his weight cutting debacle, but the Chechen could care less and Michael Bisping is on board with that attitude. Chimaev is coming off another sweeping victory that cautions the entire UFC roster of his potential. Chimaev just finished Kevin Holland within the first round by submission due to D’Arce choke at UFC 279. But it’s the fight week overall where Chimaev caught the most eyes.

Chimaev is 12-0 in his overall career with now 11 wins by the way of finishes. His only decision win came out to be his hardest fight against former UFC title challenger Gilbert Burns. His next fight at UFC 279 was originally supposed to be against former UFC fighter and MMA legend Nate Diaz in the headlining spot. However, Chimaev was advised by the doctor to not cut more weight below 178.5 lbs else it’s unhealthy. The eligible limit for welterweight bout was 171 lbs and therefore Chimaev was forced to fight in a catchweight with a last minute opponent in Holland.

In one of the videos on his Youtube channel, UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping talks about Chimaev’s weigh in debacle and his win at UFC 279. Besides that, Bisping gave a positive response to Chimaev’s unapologetic attitude that made the live audience and the MMA community as a whole watch out for the heel turn which is quite upsetting for the emotional fans.

“I absolutely love it,” says Bisping “It brings a lot of controversy, it brings eyeballs and it’s very very polarizing… in combat sports if you can walk out there and ultimately and half the crowd cheering that’s what you want and half booing, that’s the perfect scenario. Last thing you want to do is walk out there, there’s a little golf clap and they’re indifferent and they don’t really care…” continued Bisping.
