The Korean Zombie got his gloves back, which the crowd snatched away after losing the fight against Max Holloway at UFC Singapore. Interestingly, after the incident, Holloway also sent gloves to Zombie, whose real name is Chan Sung Jung. The South Korean fighter donated $20,000 to Maui Food Bank in Hawaii as aid for the damage caused by the wildfires. Wildfires recently ravaged the Hawaiian Islands in the USA.

Speaking of the fight, the Korean fighter threw one of his gloves into the crowd as he walked out, but for the first instance, he thought he lost it. His countryman caught the glove in the crowd. Then the fan contacted him and returned Jung’s gloves. The series of incidents started when Holloway learned about a fan stealing Jung’s retirement fight gloves.

After the fight, Jung, on his YouTube channel, said he was upset as neither of the gloves from his final in-cage battle were in his possession. He couldn’t retrieve those gloves. Then Holloway, in a goodwill gesture, sent his gloves from the fight to the Korean fighter. The gracious gesture between the fighters existed both inside and outside the cage.

The Korean Zombie retired after an illustrious career. He paved the path for Asian MMA fighters to compete in the UFC. On the other hand, Holloway has exciting fights ahead of him in the UFC. He should consider a move to the lightweight division to have exciting fights against the likes of Charles Oliveira, Justin Gaethje, and Dustin Poirier.
