Sean Strickland and Dricus Du Plessis were involved in a brawl during UFC 296. Although many condemned the incident, UFC commentator Laura Sanko approved of it. She analyzed the derogatory nature of today’s trash talk and made a comparison to physical fights to state the latter was better than the former.
Laura Sanko appeared on the Believe You Me podcast hosted by Michael Bisping and gave her insights on trash-talk and fights. As such, she took the example of Sean Strickland insulting Ian Garry’s wife and pointed out his hypocrisy as he stated talking about family was off the limits. Here is what she said:
I actually prefer guys have physical fights than do this s**t, if I’m being honest. Because that way the family doesn’t get dragged into it... If you’re going to get into a fight with each other then go for it. I actually liked the fact that he (Sean Strickland) fought Dricus and I liked how (he) handled the whole situation.Laura Sanko via Believe You Me Podcast
