Welterweight title contender Colby Covington faces Leon Edwards at UFC 296. Mere moments away from bagging the probable gold, “Chaos” has remained high-spirited. So much so, that in ideal “Covington” fashion the fighter has berated a whole lot of sporting personalities lately. Speaking at the UFC 296 Media Day, Covington went on a grave rant over the government, and on LeBron James. He had dissed James very recently, prompting him to leave the country.

James, the Los Angeles Lakers’ small forward recently bagged a victory over the Pacers. This was at the inaugural NBA In-Season Tournament for 2023-2024. However, he has been in the news lately for unriled behavior to the US National Anthem. Colby “Chaos” Covington has jibed at him for the same.

He said something about me one time in the past...like that guy wouldn't say it if you saw me face to face. And then I saw him in the design district after he played Miami like two years ago. And I was gonna walk up to him - and all his security are like "Please, Colby. Please! Don't say anything to LeBron."... I was like I'm giving him this pass... You're a f*****g communist piece of s**t! You f*****g hate this country...

Orange County Register reporter Luca Evans posted a video on X of James walking into USC’s Galen Center in Los Angeles. This was with his son Bryce and his Sierra Canyon High School peers. The video sees the Lakers star unbothered by the national anthem. He was there for his other son Bronny making a debut match. Covington had called him “a spineless coward” for this.

Many have correspondingly called him out on devaluing the country and its principles. The buck did not stop just there. Thereafter, Covington has also similarly berated NBA’s Zion Williamson as well.

Colby Covington dedicates title contention to the American Spirit and MAGA movement

Colby Covington faces Leon “Rocky” Edwards at UFC 296 this weekend, in a welterweight showdown. Subsequently, appearing at the pre-fight pressers and face-offs, “Chaos” has dedicated his title challenge to the American Spirit himself.

Additionally, he has also already vowed to wrap the belt around the waist of his close acquaintance Donald Trump on his win. He has even requested Dana White for Trump to present him with the title gold.

Recently, at the UFC 296 Media Day pre-fight conference, Covington went on a rant. He blamed the government for the array of indictments on the Republican Nominee Trump. Conversely, he also dissed Lakers star LeBron James for infidelity toward the country’s spirit.

The fighter has thus dedicated the whole effort to law enforcement, the country’s troops, and the MAGA movement in a generic sense.
