Logan Paul and Dillon Danis will box on October 14, 2023. Since Danis has a history of pulling out of fights, Mike Perry was appointed as the backup fighter to fight Paul, to the delight of Michael Bisping. A cruiserweight showdown between KSI and Tommy Fury headlines the fight card in Manchester. Tommy is Tyson Fury’s younger brother.

As the backup fighter, Mike Perry increased the drama surrounding the card. Danis continued to troll Nina Agdal, the fiancee of Logan Paul, in a derogatory manner. Mike Perry’s involvement will surely increase the reach of the fight card. Former UFC middleweight champion and legend Michael Bisping posted on X (formerly Twitter), “Mike Perry will smoke all these fucking wannabes. #clownshow “. Bisping’s post is actually true, as Paul and KSI would lose to “Platinum” Mike Perry.

Perry, who has now made a name for himself in bare-knuckle boxing, has defeated the likes of Michael “Venom” Page and Luke Rockhold in bare-knuckle. Known for his “Platinum” chin, Perry is best suited for the sport. Bisping’s post is a testament to the toughness of the former UFC fighter. Paul and Dillon cannot compare to the experience of Perry.

Dillon Danis already made the fight personal with his attacks on Nina Agdal. Logan, who is much more diplomatic and calmer than his younger brother Jake, has vowed to shut Danis for good inside the ring. Of the two, Paul is the more credentialed boxer, and the chances of the competitively inactive Danis getting knocked out remain very high.

Michael Bisping echoed Dana White’s advice to Chris Weidman to retire

Chris Weidman‘s return to MMA didn’t go well. According to UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping, it might signal that the former champion should consider retiring from the sport. Bisping, a former UFC middleweight champion turned commentator, firmly believed it was time for Weidman to retire. Weidman still thinks he can defeat Israel Adesanya.

Bisping saw Weidman as a shadow of his former self in his unanimous decision loss to Brad Tavares at UFC 292. Bisping doesn’t want to witness Weidman performing at a subpar level any longer. He specifically referred to Chris Weidman, acknowledging his achievements and past glory. Weidman was an undefeated champion who dethroned Anderson Silva and defended his belt against the likes of Lyoto Machida and Vitor Belfort. Eventually, he faced a series of knockout losses against fighters like ‘Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza, Gegard Mousasi, and Dominick Reyes, culminating in a leg injury against Uriah Hall.

Weidman suffered a gruesome tibia break in April 2021, one of the most severe injuries in UFC history. After multiple complications during his recovery, he returned to the octagon two years later. With his loss to Brad Tavares, Weidman’s record stands at 2-7 in his last nine fights. Despite his confidence in coming back, Bisping doesn’t see Weidman reaching the UFC middleweight title again.
