George’s St.Pierre is one of the GOATs of MMA. His resume is filled with elite contenders, and he ruled the welterweight division while Anderson Silva ruled the middleweight division. The Canadian fighter also won titles in two divisions in the UFC.

Recently, Georges St. Pierre posted a video on X of his friend’s gun he carried for safety. He captioned that post, “Better be safe than sorry sometimes!”. It is interesting to note that it was not St.Pierre’s gun that he was showing. It was his friend, Darwin’s AK 47. The chances of the post being in Canada are very low as Justin Trudeau passed a bill banning assault weapons in May 2022. It was in relation to a mass killing on May 1, 2020. After retiring from competition, St. Pierre has made appearances in movies. St. Pierre is known for his charity work against bullying. It is very unlikely that he owns a gun.

St.Pierre’s recent visit to the octagon saw him defeat Michael Bisping to win the middleweight title at UFC 217. He was also the former welterweight champion with the promotion. He defended the title 9-times before vacating it. His final fight before vacating was against Johny Hendricks at UFC 167. The Canadian was a national hero in Canada, and his fights impacted national holidays in Canada.

When Georges St. Pierre came back from hiatus to be the double champion and was rumored to fight Khabib Nurmagomedov

George’s St. Pierre’s final fight at welterweight was against Johny Hendriks. St. Pierre won the fight, but it was controversial. Many fans and pundits thought that Hendricks had won the fight. He vacated the title soon after. GSP returned to the octagon at UFC 217 after four years. This time against the middleweight champion, Michael Bisping.

The fight against Bisping at UFC 217 would be his last fight with the UFC. Health difficulties forced him to vacate the title, and interim middleweight champion Robert Whitaker was promoted to the undisputed champion. Rumors of a fight with Khabib swirled after that but did not materialize. He is now seen in the corners of fighter training at Tristar Gym. His coach, Firas Zahabi, owns the Gym.

St. Pierre was one of the pay-per-view stars before the Conor McGregor era. Known for his calm demeanor, he was considered an unlikely champion mainly due to his personality. When he was the welterweight champion, a fight with Anderson Silva roamed on the horizon. But the fight did not happen, and the fans were devastated.
