The gloves have come off between Leon Edwards and Kamaru Usman. Both the fighters have begun their pre-fight interviews and shots shall be fired between them. Leon has already warmed up in his recent interview with Ariel Helwani as he comments on Usman’s rise to the top with a hilarious comparison.
A British fighter will be fighting for the UFC title after a long time and Leon Edwards is very excited to be the one to have that honor. “Rocky” will go against the P4P king Kamaru Usman in a welterweight title fight at UFC 278. Both the welterweight elites will face each other in Salt Lake City, Utah. This is Leon’s first pay-per-view headliner and he is doing a decent job of promoting his fight.
In a recent episode of MMA Hour hosted by Ariel Helwani, Leon appeared and spoke about his opponent with no filter. During the interview, Edwards made a hilarious comparison between Kamaru and his recent “Hollywood” behavior. Usman is being paid with the big bucks for his dominant reign as the welterweight champion and The Nigerian Nightmare is not one to shy away from boasting about his lavish lifestyle. Edwards believes the “P4P champion” money has changed Usman.

Leon went at Kamaru for getting all Hollywood with his outfits recently. The Nigerian Nightmare is notorious for turning up to UFC live events with flashy outfits. Edwards clearly isn’t a fan of that. “You know Terry Crews from ‘White Chicks’? He [Kamaru Usman] looks like that guy from White Chicks,” said Edwards talking to Ariel Helwani on MMA Hour.
“He’s changed. Never got a T-shirt on, I don’t know what’s going on. The money’s gotten to his head,” added Edwards about Usman’s recent fits. In Kamaru’s defense, the welterweight champion has the physique and also the money to pull off flashy outfits. Usman is one of the best in-shape athletes on the UFC roster. And the work he puts in to maintain his body shows when he fights in the octagon as he gets over any challenge put against him.

The big question this weekend will be if Usman can get another victory against Edwards. The two have previously fought inside the octagon during the early days of their career and Usman got a unanimous decision victory. Kamaru plans on dominating his opponent this time and putting a nail in the coffin.
