Leon Edwards is content right now after securing a much-deserving title shot after many failed attempts. The UK fighter is set to take on Kamaru Usman at UFC 278 pay-per-view event this year in a welterweight title fight. Ahead of his fight, Edwards was spotted at UFC London, this last weekend, at the O2 Arena watching the amazing Fight Night event featuring stars, Paddy Pimblett, Molly McCann, and Tom Aspinall.

Leon was kind enough to pay the media scrum a visit and answered several questions from reporters. One of the questions that were thrown at “Rocky” was his predictions for the upcoming main event fight at UFC 280. Edwards has previously trained with lightweight contender Makhachev at the American Kickboxing Academy. Edwards believes we all are in for a treat.

Leon Edwards believes Charles Oliveira has better “momentum” than Islam

Oliveira against Justin Gaethje at UFC 274

“It’s a difficult fight. I’ve trained with Islam at AKA. Islam is a great, great wrestler and he’s strong in what he does but I feel like Charles is just on his momentum now, his confidence is so high, I don’t know. I wouldn’t bet on that fight,” said Leon talking to the media at UFC London.

Charles is coming off a win against Justin Gaethje at UFC 274. Oliveira is technically not the champion right now after losing his belt to the weigh-in scales ahead of UFC 274. The Brazilian still went on to beat Justin via knockout and extended his winning streak to 11 fights.

Islam Makhachev, on the other hand, is a serious threat to Oliveira. Islam is on a 10-fight winning streak and has been hungry for the title shot for quite some time. Islam has finished all of his last four opponents and looks sharper than ever. The fight takes place at UFC 280 in Abu Dhabi. Who do you pick as the winner of this fight?
