Leon Edwards faced Colby Covington in the main event of UFC 296. In the lead-up to the fight, ‘Chaos’ embraced his fight persona as usual and started talking trash. However, during the pre-fight press conference, he crossed a line when he remarked about Edwards’ late father. This instantly triggered emotions in ‘Rocky.’ Now, he detailed the aftermath of Covington’s words and how it affected him.

In his recent appearance on the Up Front with Simon Jordan, Leon Edwards revealed being extremely furious after Colby Covington. He claimed he was shaking with anger and couldn’t control it. As such, he unveiled receiving help from his coach, Dave Lovell, and his mom to shift his focus. Here is what he said:

It took a lot from me to refocus my brain and calm down...(When asked whether Dave Lovell helped him) Yeah, 100 percent! My mum as well. I was like shaking with anger... talked to my coaches, my mom, and everyone goes like just calm down, don't play into his ends. Don't go out there emotional.

Also, in the show, Leon Edwards spoke about what kind of person Colby Covington was. He explained Covington’s remarks about his late father only exposed his personality. As such, he called him a ‘scumbag’. Further, he stated that ‘Chaos’ stooped so low to sell the fight, and there was no substance in it.
