Liverpool fans reject Conor McGregor’s request of buying the club amid his history with rival Manchester United

Conor McGregor is undoubtedly the best pay-per-view seller in UFC history. He has also spread his business venture outside the Octagon selling his Irish whiskey and is also about to make his Hollywood debut. The Notorious is also an avid football fan and has teased previously of buying a football club.

Recently, Liverpool club owner Fenway Sports Group put the club for sale after being with the club since 2001 shocking the fans and football community. The club owner has put on a tag of  $4 billion to sell the club. The Irishman has shown his interest to buy the club. McGregor responding to a fan’s post asking him to purchase Liverpool wrote on Twitter, “I WOULD LOVE IT! I requested my information on this, yes. Soon as I heard. What a turn of events! What a club! @LFC”

This tweet from the MMA superstar has generated mixed reactions from his fans as it’s known to everyone that the Irishman is a Manchester United fan. Previously Conor has also tweeted to buy Manchester United and Chelsea.

Many users pointed out that he is a Manchester United fan and should not buy Liverpool FC. One user wrote, “You support United, so no thanks”

Many comments were about his lack of resources to purchase the club. One user wrote, “They’re worth 4 billion not 4 million”

Many comments were there trolling him for previously wanting to buy Manchester United. One user wrote, “Heard it before. Talking absolute whopper as usual.”

Many Manchester United fans criticized The Notorious for trying to buy Liverpool FC. One user posted an image of McGregor in a Man United shirt and wrote, “shame on you”

One twitter user trolled him saying that McGregor was owned by Khabib referring to the famous defeat of McGregor at the hands of the Dagestani.

Another user encouraged McGregor to buy the club and also showed his interest to pool money to help him do so. He wrote, “I’d go in with ya on it @TheNotoriousMMA I have about €117 in savings and about €45 in my revoult vault”
