Tommy Fury has reportedly gained a whopping three stones of weight (19 kilograms) since February of this year. Fury fought his long-time rival, Jake Paul, in probably the biggest highlight fight of his career and secured a thrilling victory by split decision.
The fight did amazing numbers, with around 800,000 pay-per-view buys. Tommy Fury reportedly walked away with a cool purse of a $2 million base salary and an extra 35 percent of all the pay-per-view sales. Meanwhile, Jake Paul received a whopping $3.2 million as a base salary and 65 percent of the pay-per-view revenue.
As Fury said, he had put a lot of effort leading up to the Jake Paul fight, and now he seems to be laying back a little. The fight coincided around the same time his first daughter was born and Fury claims to have “put on three stone in four weeks”. Fans claim he is on the “Paddy Pimblett diet” after his bulked-up physique hits the internet. UFC lightweight Paddy Pimblett is notorious for enjoying a good cheat meal and dramatically gaining tons of weight in between fights.
But Tommy Fury isn’t just lazing around. He is actually training with the former World’s Strongest Man, Eddie Hall. Fury recently uploaded a video on Youtube titled “I SWAPPED DIETS WITH EDDIE HALL… AND THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED.” Well if you eat like a 360 lbs man does, you are going to gain a lot of weight. And that is where most of his pictures that are going viral right now are coming from.
Tommy Fury trains with Eddie Hall, fans comment on his big frame
Tommy Fury has gained a lot of weight after spending time with Eddie Hall. In his WBC’s cruiserweight weigh-ins, Tommy Fury weighed 184.5 lbs. Tommy said he has gained weight of around three stones in a month. That would mean Tommy now weighs around 226.5 lbs. That is more than the current heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk.
Fans take to Twitter to post hilarious comments on Tommy’s new physique. “Tommy Fury is on the Paddy Pimblett diet,” one user said. Here are the other reactions:
Tommy Fury was consuming around 9000 calories while with Hall. That number is four times more than the recommended calories for the average male. But the two weren’t just eating food, but also engaging in intensive training. The duo took part in double workout sessions and also did recovery through saunas and ice baths.
