Lucas Almeida defeats Michael Trizano at UFC Vegas 56
The featherweight scrap between Lucas Almeida (13-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) and Michael Trizano (9-2 MMA, 3-2 UFC) just went down on the main card of UFC Vegas 56. Flyweight is one of the most exciting divisions in the UFC, and these young athletes were looking to leave their mark in the division.
It was an amazing matchup, and fans were really excited to see this fight.
Round 1 – Lucas started the fight with some hard leg kicks, Michael was trying to get his timing, but a series of well-timed strikes forced him on his back foot. Lucas was leading the dance, and Michael was looking for counterpunches. A missed punch from Lucas gave Michael a chance to engage in the clinch. Lucas landed a great combo, but Michael came back with a great check hook that dropped Lucas. He jumped on top of him but failed to finish the fight.

Round 2 – Michael knew he had his opponent hurt, and he was pushing his opponent back. Lucas started recovering, and he was landing some good counter punches. Lucas was landing low leg kicks, and they really started taking their toll. Lucas landed a big punch that dropped his opponent. Michael recovered well, but an accidental clash of heads opened a big cut right on his forehead.
The referee called the doctor, and he allowed him to continue. He survived the round, and the cutman tried to best to stop the bleeding.
Round 3 – Lucas was aiming for that cut, and he got the better of the beginning exchanges. A nice slip and hook dropped Michae, and Lucas took care of business on the ground. It was a big win for him, and he celebrated it accordingly.
