Magomed Ankalaev’s recent success at UFC Vegas 84 has cemented his position in the light heavyweight division. It also has spurred his desire for a championship chance, specifically against Alex Pereira. Following a second-round knockout of Johnny Walker, Ankalaev is considering a headline slot at UFC 300. In the post-fight press conference, Magomed Ankalaev stated he was a more deserving candidate for the title shot than Hill. He backed up his statement with facts, saying he has more wins in the UFC than Jamahal Hill in total fights. This is what he had to say when asked about what his future looks like if Jamahal Hill gets a title shot:

I think here, the math works out. I am more deserving of the belt because i have 10 victories, 6 of them knockouts and Jamahal Hill has 8 fights total in the UFC. So, it is clear that i am a more deserving contender than Jamahal Hill.
