In Friday night’s main event of UFC Vegas 57, Mateusz Gamrot achieved the greatest victory of his professional career. Arman Tsarukyan was defeated by the former KSW champion by a unanimous decision, earning him a Fight of the Night bonus. Gamrot made it obvious who he wants to fight next after the thrilling victory. He also seemed to desire a second banger and a chance at the Fight of the Night prize.

In the post-fight interview he stated, “In the future, I will be a champion for sure. I want to fight with Justin Gaethje. Justin Gaethje’s the most brutal guy in the division. I want to fight next with him.” Gaethje joined the UFC in 2017, and since then, he has defeated renowned opponents like Tony Ferguson, Donald Cerrone, and Edson Barboza.
Gamrot, though, joined the UFC just in 2020. He had an exceptional resume and had spent the majority of his career with the KSW company in Poland. Gamrot obtained the lightweight and featherweight titles after the promotion. He was disappointed to lose to Guram Kutateladze by a split decision in his UFC debut. Nevertheless, he bounced back and defeated Carlos Diego Ferreira, Jeremy Stephens, and Scott Holtzman.
