Max Holloway is one of the most likeable fighters in the UFC. The Hawaiian is known to have cordial relationships with other fighters as well. He always gives props to his opponents, even after demolishing them for 5 rounds. He has never been knocked down in his entire UFC career.

In addition to being a fighter, Holloway is known to stream on Twitch and is also an anime nerd. The photos of him and his wife and kid wearing “Demon Slayer” costumes on Halloween went viral on social media. The UFC 5 video game was just released and Max Holloway is not a fan.

A leaked video game footage shows Alexander Volkanovski finishing Max Holloway by ground and pound. When Luke Thomas of “Morning Kombat” inquired to rate the game, Max reposted the post with the caption, “A solid -100 out of 10. Might be for personal reasons tho” followed by laughing emojis.

Holloway recently fought in the main event of UFC Singapore. His opponent was Chan Sung Jung, a.k.a “The Korean Zombie”. Holloway KOed TKZ in the third round. Prior to that, he defeated Arnold Allen in a 5 round main event. Holloway has lost thrice to the current champion, Alexander Volkanovski. However, he wishes to fight for the fourth time against the Australian.

Only Alexander Volkanovski has defeated Max Holloway since 2014 in the featherweight division. He lost to Dustin Poirier at lightweight at UFC 236 for the interim title. Moreover, Volkanovski is the current pound-for-pound king and Poirier recently fought at UFC 290 for the BMF belt. Justin Gaethje defeated Poirier at UFC 290 via head kick KO.

Max Holloway and family rocked Demon Slayer anime costumes at Halloween 2021

Western countries, especially the USA, celebrate Halloween as a wonderful festival. During the 2021 Halloween celebration, Max Holloway and his family were seen donning costumes from the acclaimed anime series. Holloway, with his wife and his son from his first marriage, cosplayed three characters from Demon Slayer.

While Holloway cosplayed Tanjiro Kamado, his son dressed up as Zenitsu Agatsuma. On the other hand, his wife cosplayed Mitsuri Kanroji. Furthermore, the acclaimed anime series seems to be the favorite of the Holloway family. Before his fight with TKZ at UFC Singapore, Holloway visited the “Flagrant” podcast, in which he deeply described his love for anime.

A lot of fighters are fans of anime. Israel Adesanya and his nemesis Robert Whittaker are seemingly big fans of the “Naruto” anime. Jared Cannonier has described his love for “Dragon Ball Z” on many instances. Moreover, Israel Adesanya is also a big fan of the anime, “Death Note.” Ricky Turcios and Roxanne Modafferi are anime nerds too.
