“Part time fighter, full time streamer”- Max Holloway hopes to bury the hatchet with Alexander Volkanovski and play COD with him
Max Holloway vs Alexander Volkanovski 2
Max Holloway is ready to play online multiplayer games with Alex Volkanovski when they are not fighting each other. Holloway is all set to take on Volkanovski for the third time at possibly the biggest Pay-per-view event of UFC this year. UFC 276 is going to take place on July 2, 2022, at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada.
Holloway lost his featherweight title against the Kiwi at UFC 245 and again failed to win the rematch at UFC 251 via split decision, However, the second fight was controversial as 18 out of 27 media scores gave it to Holloway.
This fight is going to be super interesting as it will define who is the greatest fighter in the history of the UFC featherweight division.
Max Holloway on playing online video games with Alex Volkanovski
Holloway recently did a very candid interview with Brett Okamoto of ESPN MMA in which the fighter discussed his life as a UFC fighter, the upcoming trilogy with Volkanovski etc.
During the conversation, Okamoto asked Holloway about his relationship with Volkanovski outside the octagon and how respectful both the fighters are. While responding to that, Holloway hilariously revealed that he is a part-time fighter and normally plays video games online. He explained that in future he can play video games such as Call of Duty and Apex Legends with Volkanovski. According to Holloway, he doesn’t personally hate his opponents.
He said :
“You know fighting is my part-time job, I’m a full-time streamer. You know, I play video games. I heard he plays little video games so why not, you know. People are saying I should get him in my lobby of Call of Duty when I play. I play Apex now though. We see what happens you know. It is what it is. Whatever goes into The octagon I don’t bring no personal no nothing into it. It’s a fight, it’s our job, it’s what we do.”
Both Holloway and Volkanovski have shown massive sportsmanship towards each other. It is hard to see the constant respect after fighting multiple times but with these fighters, it’s not a problem.
