“He had a painful scream,” Max Holloway reveals HILARIOUS Conor McGregor story that left him concerned for Irishman mid-fight

Both Max Holloway and Conor McGregor are considered some of the most entertaining fighters in the last decade of the UFC. During his rise to fame in 2013, McGregor fought Holloway and won the fight via decision. Back then, Holloway was young and wasn’t at his prime, but he surely gave the Irishman a tough time.
While talking about the fight with comedian Andrew Schulz on the FLAGRANT podcast, Holloway talked about the fight and how he forced the fighter to scream in excruciating pain.
He said: “In that fight the funny moment was he took me down and then I had him in half guard and he’s passing and I had like his ankle and that’s how he hurt his knee in the fight and he’s screaming, like a hurtful scream… He had a painful scream and I was like like ‘ Are you okay bro?’ his like ‘Yeah yeah keep fighting mate.”
In hindsight, Max Holloway’s recollection of his fight with Conor McGregor in 2013 reveals the intensity and toughness that both fighters displayed. McGregor’s ability to persevere despite sustaining an injury will reflect his warrior spirit in the upcoming years.

McGregor came into the UFC limelight in 2013 after going on a winning streak. Similarly, Holloway was young and got attention from the fans for his striking abilities.
McGregor was favored in the betting odds when he faced Max Holloway, even though he had considerably less UFC experience than his opponent. The initial round demonstrated precisely why McGregor was the favorite. He confidently employed a variety of strikes from a distance, using his reach advantage to control the distance and land various strikes on Max Holloway, including uppercuts and wheel kicks.
While Holloway had his moments, in the end, it was McGregor who took the win and established himself as an upcoming superstar. 10 years after the fight, people still talk about it, and the respect between both fighters is still there.
