“More entertaining 90 seconds than O’Malley and Cejudo careers” – Professor Merab Dvalishvili’s lecture on ‘future of bantamweight division’ has UFC fans in splits

Merab Dvalishvili was the #1 contender in the bantamweight division when Aljamain Sterling was the champion. Arguably, he earned the right to fight for the title. But, since Sterling was his friend, he refused to fight him. Now, with Sean O’Malley as the champion, ‘The Machine’ was the rightful contender. But the UFC dismissed him from the title picture and put forth a matchup between the O’Malley and Marlon Vera. As such, Dvalishvili dropped a video on his social media trolling them.

Soon after Sean O’Malley won the title, he called out Marlon Vera for this first title defense to avenge his loss. This robbed Merab Dvalishvili of his challenger spot despite being on a nine-fight win streak. Also, Vera stated he wanted to face Cory Sandhagen if he won the title to avenge his loss. So, ‘The Machine’ exposed their logic in a troll video and mocked them.

If Sandhagen won, he would call out Petr Yan for a title fight. The circle continues till Yan loses the title to Merab. Further in the video, Merab Dvalishvili jibed his upcoming opponent, Henry Cejudo. He trolled Cejudo for his previous taunts and claimed ‘Triple C’ had brain damage. Merab Davilishvi earned the #1 contender’s spot when he defeated Petr Yan in March 2023. But, currently, he was ranked #2 since the old champion, Aljamain Sterling, slipped down to the #1 spot. Now, Dvalishvili is facing the #3 ranked Henry Cejudo in UFC 298. With a win, both the fighters aimed to fight for the title.

Fans react to Merab Dvalishvili’s troll video

Merab Dvalishvili recently embraced a new persona on his social platforms and trolled his fellow bantamweights. Earlier, he mocked Henry Cejudo with a Professor avatar when he incorrectly pronounced his name. Professor Dvalishvili returned to critique the logic of title contenders and trolled Sean O’Malley and Marlon Vera. Of course, he didn’t hold back from taunting Cejudo.

In the video, Merab Dvalishvili explained the future of the bantamweight division. As such, he exposed the champions, calling out their past opponents whom they lost to and questioning the integrity of their matchup. So, he mocked them by stating he would call his first UFC loss Frankie Saenz out of retirement for his first title defense. This troll video received huge reactions from the fans.
