Michael Bisping has officially given his prediction for the main event of UFC 277, a title fight rematch between the current UFC women’s bantamweight champion Julianna Pena making her first title defence against the challenger and the preceding champion Amanda Nunes. The rest of the fight card comprises a co-main title fight event as well, just like the main event, it is also a rematch, between flyweights Brandon Moreno and Kai Kara-France for the interim title.
The rest of the fight card includes a light-heavyweight clash between former title challenger Anthony Smith and upcoming fierce Russian mixed-martial artist Magomed Ankalaev. In the heavyweight, another upcoming Russian, Sergei Pavlovich will attempt to prove his worth through his knockout power against the knockout king himself Derreck Lewis, who is also a former title challenger and has the record for the most knockouts in UFC history.
Michael Bisping bases the prediction of the rematch on the opening round of the first fight between Pena and Nunes
On his podcast titled Believe You Me, Bisping talks about the entire UFC 277 main card and who he thinks would win. Throughout the video below, Bisping has picked Anthony Smith to defeat Magomed Ankalaev, Derrick Lewis to defeat Sergei Pavlovich, Alexandre Pantoja to defeat Alex Perez and Brandon Moreno to defeat Kai Kara-France. In the end, Bisping makes his official prediction for the main event.
“She [Nunes] was the better fighter in round one [of the first fight at UFC 269],” says Bisping “But round two she got tired and Pena beat her fair and square so she deserves to be the champ, I just don’t know if it’s gonna go down the same way this time… I pick Nunes just from what we saw in the first round, she looks so much better… I think Nunes comes back, she gets the win and new baby.”
