Michael Bisping has given his verdict on the much-awaited fight between Khamzat Chimaev and Nate Diaz. Bisping, the former UFC middleweight champion, got inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame of class 2019 after his retirement in 2017. Bisping is the first British UFC champion. He currently is a broadcaster for the UFC, a sports analyst for BT Sports and a Youtuber with 2 successful Youtube channels. Bisping is known for his wins over the likes of Anderson Silva, Cung Le, Luke Rockhold, Dan Henderson and many more.

The clash between UFC megastars Diaz and Chimaev will take place at UFC 279. UFC 279 takes place at T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas on September 10, 2022. The co-main event comprises former interim-UFC lightweight champion, Tony Ferguson, making his welterweight debut against Li Jingliang. Another fight to watch out for is Kevin Holland going against Daniel Rodriguez in the same division as the aforementioned fights. Fighters to watch out for are Johnny Walker, Chris Barnett and Irene Aldana.

Michael Bisping believes despite Khamzat Chimaev being the superior fighter, it’s not fair to count out Nate Diaz

In one of the videos on his Youtube channel, Bisping talks about his initial thoughts on the much exciting main event of UFC 279 and who he thinks will get the upper hand in the end. Bisping breaks down the career record of both the main event fighters starring Diaz and Chimaev and also explains his reason to conclude the fight to go down as an epic war for the fans to watch.

“Everyone’s underestimating Nate Diaz and so am I to be fair,” says Bisping “I don’t think he wins this fight. Khamzat Chimaev is something special, he’s got incredible wrestling, he was tested last time out against Gilbert Burns, correct?… but you can’t count out Nate Diaz, let’s be honest…” continues Bisping.
