Michael Chandler breaks down Olivera vs Gaethje! On Saturday night, Charles Oliveira will defend his undisputed UFC lightweight title against former interim champion Justin Gaethje at UFC 274. Both the fighters are working hard in their training camp and are looking very “Deadly.”
Both the fighters have an amazing record and are having a great run recently. Charles Oliveira is on a 10 fight win streak which has literally changed his career for good. Charles is in the UFC since 2010 and has had a career revival recently. After winning the lightweight belt against Chandler at UFC 262, he has also successfully defended it against Dustin Poirier at UFC 296.
Gaethje, over the previous four years, has appeared practically unbeatable, with the only loss on his record coming at the hands of Khabib Nurmagomedov. Justin is one of the most explosive guys in the UFC and he is more dangerous, as he looks to earn the lightweight title on Saturday.
As the fight is guaranteed to be a banger, UFC fighter Chandler has picked his favorite in the fight. Recently during an interview with ESPN, Michael talked about the fight and also said what he thinks about Gaethje and Oliveira. According to Michael, Charles Oliveira is a changed guy now and is not the same as he was a few years back.
Michael said: “Charles Oliveira has come into a new persona. He has left the old you know, quitter or the old guy who didn’t make weight or the old guy who had a spotty track record of ups and downs.”
He further added, “He is a new man he’s in new creation inside the lightweight division he sees himself as the champion and all of us are starting to give him the respect that he finally deserves.”

During the Interview, Chandler talked about how good Gaethje actually is. He said despite losing to Charles at UFC 262; he believes it gonna be a hard fight for him at UFC 274.
Michael Chandler lost to Charles Oliveira at UFC 262 via KO/TKO in the early minute of the 2nd round. Michael was dominating the fight until the left hook of Charles connected to Michael, which resulted in Charles knocking out Michael.
Placing his wager on Justin, Chandler believes Justin Gaethje will win the fight, as it is very hard to knock him down and his wrestling is equally good. Chandler said: “Justin Gaethje is hard to take down, he’s got good wrestling, he’s got ridiculous cardio, he does not go out you can’t finish him so I think my money’s on Justin Gaethje.”
