Conor McGregor‘s popping up at high-profile fights all week. The UFC star surprised fans when he showed up at the recent BKFC 41 this past weekend. But the highlight of the night was Conor McGregor and Mike Perry‘s faceoff after the fight.

Mike Perry who fought against former UFC champion Luke Rockhold, expressed his desire to face off against McGregor after winning the bout against Rockhold. “We were in the ring and he was ready to punch me right then,” Perry told The MMA Hour.

McGregor complimented the production and expressed his respect for the contenders of the fight card at BKFC 41. Social media loved it. McGregor and Perry’s faceoff went viral on Twitter. Everybody wanted to know if the Irish superstar was keen on trying his hand at a bare-knuckle fight. McGregor even mentioned during the face-off that he was ready to take on Perry. Conor took to Instagram and wrote a lengthy paragraph about the fight game and his experience at BKFC 41.

In a recent conversation with The MMA Hour, Mike Perry talked about his face-off with McGregor. “What’s next for me? Conor McGregor,” Perry said. “We can go throw hands. He gave me a faceoff. How cool was that? That’s what’s up.” Perry says that he could sense that Conor McGregor was interested in a fight. “He’s talking about it on Instagram,he knows it looked exciting, he knows it looked fun.” Mike Perry believes that he could hold his own at bare-knuckle fighting, regardless of who it is. “I’ve got a chin, I’ve got some hands and this is bare knuckle. People don’t like getting hit with that. So whoever wants the smoke, dog.”

Mike Perry backs Nate Diaz amid controversy

Nate Diaz recently got into trouble after he got involved in a street brawl in New Orleans. Nate Diaz choked out a guy and now faces second-degree battery charges. Diaz has a fight coming up against Youtuber/boxer Jake Paul later this August and thus is out after making a bond for $10,000.

Mike Perry voiced his support for Nate Diaz. He recalls the time he spent with Diaz and as a fighter relates to the latest incident. “I won this thing where I get to hang out with Nate Diaz and his crew and we go to the fights, we go to the club, we go to hang out, and it was exactly what you would think it would be”

“Sometimes people see fighters in real life,…,” Perry says. “I don’t know if they want to test themselves or they want to just be rude or just try to maybe be confident in front of some girl they’re with or something, and be like, ‘You know this fighter? Well, watch this.’ And they try to be disrespectful”
