Khamzat Chimaev is currently the talk of the town in the MMA world following his sudden rise to the top of the mountain. Joe Rogan and Mike Tyson gave their thoughts on the fight and spoke about Chimaev’s personality. Khamzat has been absolutely wild in the lead-up to fights and has given a “killer” vibe with his time on the mic. The fighter originates from Chechnya and currently fights out of Sweden.

Mike was also known to be a killer in his prime and was one of the scariest fighters to grace the boxing ring. Tyson believes Chimaev tries his best to be a “nice guy” in order to his “psychopathic” personality. “But I know this guy [Khamzat] has some issues that he looks like a nice guy but is kind of psychopathic,” said Mike talking to Joe on the Hotboxin podcast.

Joe commentated live at the fight between Khamzat and Gilbert at UFC 273 and was blown away by it. The UFC commentator also got the chance to talk to Chimaev and Burns after the fight in the post-fight octagon interview. From his time watching and knowing Khamzat, Joe believes Burns truly tested the Swedish monster.

“Full psychopath,” said Joe agreeing with Mike’s opinion on Khamzat. “He just beat Gilbert Burns. It was a close fight. It was a very good fight. Some people even thought Gilbert won. I have good friends that tested me afterward and they thought Gilbert won,” said Joe on the podcast with Tyson. “It was the first time Khamzat had ever been tested.”
