Professional fighters usually have the upper hand when it comes it being robbed or street fighting. Unfortunately, this was not the case for Ukrainian MMA fighter Egor Kostyuchenko who had his car stolen and could not do anything about it. Kostyuchenko is the training partner of UFC welterweight Sean Brady. The two fighters train at the Philidelphia Premier Gym.
Brady posted the video of the incident on Instagram. Kostyuchenko was working for Uber Eats and delivering an order when an intruder got into his car and tried to speed off. He tried to grab him and held on to the car window while the thief was trying to make his getaway. Kostyuchenko had to leave the car as he was allegedly shot by the thief too.
Many fighters are finding themselves as victims of robberies and carjacking incidents in recent times. Such as UFC heavyweight Derrick Lewis who knocked out a thief who was trying to get into his car. One of the most recent events was when Ciryl Gane’s home was robbed while he was fighting at UFC Paris. There have been many other incidents regarding fighters fending off robbers and thieves.
Brady revealed that he had started a “GoFundMe” for his training partner and urged fans to help the young fighter out. He asked fans to donate as much as they can to help recover the items that were in the car. Fans empathize with Kostyuchenko who faced major losses due to the incident.

Brady revealed that Kostyuchenko is just 24 years old and is struggling to live in America. The video was heartbreaking to watch as the Ukrainian fighter was doing his job to meet daily needs. Fans believe that Kostyuchenko should have let the car go and should not have risked his life. Whereas some sent him words of support for losing his belongings. There is no doubt that fans will donate towards supporting Kostyuenko. He is a rising prospect with four wins under his belt and will look to make a proper career for himself. Fans will look forward to seeing Kostyuchenko reply to the situation.
