UFC 293 in Australia became a PPV event that fight fans will never forget. Sean Strickland implemented a flawless game plan to dominate Israel Adesanya for five rounds. However, the event became controversial after two fighters used the f-slur during their post-fight interview with Daniel Cormier. Dana White spoke about it during the post-fight press conference.

White did not impose a fine on the fighters for saying the slur. However, former MMA world champion Jake Shields went on Twitter and accused Dana White of imposing fine in the past. He wrote, “Will Dana White fine the fighters who said Faggot on air? My guess is he will because I know in the past he’s caved to the Gay mafia.” In the same thread, he once again wrote, “I know someone he fined 30k for saying it.”

Charles Radtke and Manel Kape uttered the slur during the post-fight interviews. Since ESPN broadcasts the PPV, Shields wanted to know if they got fined. ESPN has a pro-LGBTQ+ stance, and Shields has an opposite view. ESPN could make Dana White impose a fine on the fighters if they wanted to. It made Shields want to know more about the situation.
