Calvin Kattar recently fought Josh Emmett at UFC Austin on June 18th. Both fighters entered the octagon for a war and the action was held inside the octagon for five rounds before the fight went to the judges for decision. A split decision by the judges handed the win to Josh Emmett after a very close fight and many MMA fans and experts belive the fight could’ve gone either way.
The fight was a battle of quantity vs quality as Emmett’s power shots carried him to a split decision to win. As Josh earned a massive statement victory at UFC Austin, controversy has arose over the decision. Judges have scored the fight 47-48, 48-47, 48-47 in favor of Josh Emmett. After this win Josh has extended his winning streak to 5 and is now an inch closer to earing a title shot i the featherweight division.
After the fight, UFC featherweight fighter Movsar Evloev has called out Calvin Kattar and asked for a fight. According to Movsar, Calvin won the fight despite the result and even he admits it was a very close fight. Movsar is currently ranked 10th in the featherweight division and has a undefeated professional record of 16 wins and no losses.

UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski reacted to the recent main even of UFC Austin and he seems impressed by the amazing performance of his fellow featherweight fighters. After the fight between Calvin and Josh, the MMA community is divided into two camps. One side claims that the result was not fair, while others claim Josh did enough to win the fight.
