“Stop the genocide!” Muslim fighter Muhammad Mokaev calls out British PM Rishi Sunak boldly after UFC Vegas 87 win
Muhammad Mokaev requested UK Prime Mister to stop the violence in the Gaza strip.
Muhammad Mokaev wants the UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak to call ceasefire between Palestine and Israel
Muhammad Mokaev earned his sixth consecutive win in the UFC at UFC Vegas 87. He went against the #7 ranked Alex Perez and clinched a unanimous decision victory. During his post-fight interview, Mokaev requested something from British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. As such, he raised his voice against the ongoing situation between Israel and Hamas.
Muhammad Mokaev took his spotlight from UFC Vegas 87 to illuminate the dreading situation in Gaza. Being a Muslim himself, he couldn’t tolerate the condition of his fellow Palestinian Muslims. So, he directly called out the UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and requested him to stop the ‘Genocide.’ Here is what he said:
Love to all my brothers around the world! Free genocide, Rishi Sunak stop genocide. The Prime Minister from United Kingdom, stop this! At least stop in Ramadan, stop killing our kids.

Many UFC fighters have used their UFC fame to voice out their support for the Palestinians and have openly critiqued Israel’s policies. UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev didn’t even celebrate his title defense win at UFC 294, owing to the Israel-Hamas situation. Also, Khamzat Chimaev sent an emotional message about the situation. Now, fighting out of the UK, Muhammad Mokaev joined them and put forth a request to his Prime Minister.
Muhammad Mokaev is a surging contender in the bantamweight division with an undefeated record. As such, he called for a title shot immediately after his win at UFC Vegas 87. He wanted to quickly turn around and fight the champion Alexandre Pantoja at UFC 301.
Muhammad Mokaev wants to fight for the title next
Alex Perez and Muhammad Mokaev went to action at UFC Vegas 87. As such, ‘The Punisher’ won the fight on the judges’ scorecards. Soon after, Mokaev called for his shot at the title. Although ranked below the top five, he has a fair argument for a title shot. The state of the flyweight division and his undefeated record might implore the UFC to give him a title shot.
In his octagon interview, Muhammad Mokaev stated he had a 6-0 record in the UFC with four finishes and called for a title shot. As such, he was willing to make a turnaround in 10 weeks to face the champion at UFC 301. However, many critiqued his performance against Perez for the lack of striking and action. As such, he attributed it to multiple staph infections he had going into the fight.
The flyweight division is suffering to find a concrete title challenger for Alexandre Pantoja. With Brandon Royval just fighting for the title, Brandon Moreno and Mateus Nicolau in a losing cause, and Manel Kape, Amir Albazi, and Kai Kara France having canceled bouts, Mokaev could fight for the title next. However, there is a chance the UFC gives the next shot to Brandon Royval.
