“Don’t get too emotional,” Muhammad Mokaev sends a chilling message to Charles Johnson following response over a picture with a gun

“Don’t get too emotional,” Muhammad Mokaev sends a chilling message to Charles Johnson following response over a picture with a gun

Muhammad Mokaev- Charles Johnson

Muhammad Mokaev is one talented fighter to count on to carry the future of the flyweight division, and also, one cold personality for his opponents if they want war. Mokaev’s rise to fame came from his undefeated amateur career where he went 23-0 fighting majorly under the banner of the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) as well as the World Mixed Martial Arts Federation (WMMAF). In an amateur career, you never know whether the opponent ahead is a tough deal to face or not, so, safe to say, Mukaev came from a hard road.

In his professional career, Mokaev has had 8 bouts with 7 wins and 1 no-contest, so, he’s undefeated as of now as well. Mokaev’s UFC debut happened this year at UFC London in February 2022, which was headlined by heavyweights Tom Aspinall and Alexander Volkov. Mokaev blasted his then opponent, Cody Durden with a flying knee followed by a sweep submission in the form of a guillotine choke that eventually led to his victory.

Mokaev is now facing a UFC debutant in Charles Johnson who’s 11-2 in his overall MMA career with 8 finishes. The fight will happen at another event of UFC London in the same venue as the last time i.e. O2 Arena. But ahead of this bout, both have traded some fighting words on Twitter.

Mokaev initiated with a picture of him holding a gun which seems to be a semi-automatic rifle and wrote in the caption of this tweet “See you in London Charles Johnson, 8 days to go! #TeamMokaev #UFC” With that, Johnson took a screenshot of Mokaev’s Tweet to post it on his account and responded with the caption “You posing with a gun, that shit won’t be there when u see me kid @muhammadmokaev I’m from the Lou, done been around real shootouts and seen real hitters my whole life. Keep that same energy”

Mokaev quoted Johnson’s Tweet and said “I was born in Dagestan and grew up in Manchester these 2 places can’t be compared to your Lou or whatever Don’t get too emotional about this picture you getting smashed Saturday night, I’ve gone past 30 guys like you and you ain’t different to rest of them!”

What do you make of this constant back and forth between both the fighters? Do you think Mokaev should avoid posting pictures of weapons since he is a potential role model to many fighters, or do you think he should be free to click photos with whatever he wants irrespective of the public figure pressure? Who do you think will win this fight?
