“Double Dana White bonus,” Muhammad Mokaev talks about receiving cash prize from the Sheikh of Bahrain on his last fight

Muhammad Mokaev- Sheikh of Bahrain

Muhammad Mokaev was not just the winner that night at UFC London this fight weekend, but probably the richest man that night as well. Even though a decision victory, Mokaev dominated in his last fight against Charles Johnson where he attempted 26 takedowns, the most in UFC flyweight history. He went on to secure 12 of those takedowns. Mokaev is 8-0 with a no-contest in his overall MMA career. In his amateur, Mokaev was 23-0. With that said, 31-0 by the age of just 21 is quite commendable.

Mokaev is one of the fastest rising prospects in the overall UFC roster right now. Mokaev is now looking for ranked opponents and climb up the flyweight rankings as fast as possible so that he can set record for the youngest champion in UFC history. The record is currently set up by Jon Jones who became the UFC light heavyweight champion in 2011 at the age of just 23. Mokaev trains out of KHK Team and is managed by Paradigm Sports.

“Yeah Prince of Bahrain told me before ‘my father told me if you finish Charles Johnson, I’ll give you a hundred thousand’… he [Johnson] fight like this not to get finished, he didn’t want to win, for me it was harder to finish, he wanted to survive… I didn’t finish him but okay, Sheikh called me after the fight when I was in the changing room and said listen, you got 200k, all good’… I got double Dana White bonus,” concludes Mokaev while he laughs.
