‘Send the release form’- Nate Diaz calls upon the UFC to process his release from the promotion
Nate Diaz
Nate Diaz is currently in the last fight of his UFC contract and desperately wants to get into the octagon and think about the future. Diaz’s last fight was against Leon Edwards at UFC 263 last year which he lost via unanimous decision. It’s been a long time since Diaz has been asking UFC for his next fight but the promotion still hasn’t given any answers.
Diaz’s name was previously linked with Dustin Poirier who was going to move up a weight class to fight the Stockton native. But the fight didn’t materialize due to some unknown reasons. Recently, there were rumours that Diaz was going to take on the Russian hype train, Khamzat Chimaev. However, UFC president Dana White suggested that the promotion is still working on it.
Recently, Diaz took to Twitter to send a clear message towards the UFC giving them two options. Diaz suggested either to release him or make a fight as soon as possible. He wrote :
“Ufc release now please or give me fight with anyone in July or august
I have bigger shit to do.”
The fighter also shared a clip of Jake Paul knocking out Tyron Woodley promoting a potential fight with the ‘ Problem Child’.

Nate Diaz continues to put pressure on UFC
After that tweet, Diaz made another tweet in order to double down his needs from UFC.
Diaz wrote,” Send the release ? ??♂️?,” and with that boxing glove emoji confirmed his intentions to fight in the squared circle.
When Dana White was asked about Diaz’s conditions and his views about this matter, White gave his honest reply.
“we’re trying to do the best we can. We’re trying not to s*** on anybody and disrespect anybody, but it’s not like we’re talking about Kamaru Usman here. We’re talking about Nate Diaz. Nate’s won one fight in five years, so we’re trying to figure this thing out with him. He probably should go on and fight Jake Paul. That’s a fight that makes sense.” said White in an interview with The MacLife.
It seems like this whole Nate Diaz and contract thing is going to meet its finale very soon. Both the parties are now getting tired if each other and will probably look for a solution which will be the best for everyone.
