The Diaz brother might be one of the most loved fighters in the world and he acknowledges his relevance and importance in the sport.
UFC superstar Nate Diaz gave one of the best interviews of all time with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour show. The Stockton Slugger was not afraid to speak his mind out and was very transparent about his place in the UFC. The fighter has been wanting out of the biggest MMA promotion in the world for quite some time and in a recent interview, he went on a huge rant about how he is the most relevant fighter in the history of the sport.
The fighter has broken tons of records in the Ultimate Fighting Championship and every time he steps in the octagon has proven to be one of the most entertaining fighters. In Nate’s eyes, he is the best to ever do it in the UFC. The fighter has built one of the biggest fanbases in the sport and has never disappointed his fans, be it in or out of the octagon.
Nate Diaz says he “never tries” but still is the most relevant fighter
“I’m the most relevant still without trying,” says Nate in his MMA Hour interview. “I don’t even ever fight. I went and took three years off and I still have records, I’m still like Fight of The Night, top 2 or some sh*t like that. I haven’t done sh*t in the last five years.”
Nate believes it is the UFC that has been holding him back from fighting multiple times in a single year. “I used to fight 3 to 5 times a year but the UFC has been holding me back from getting on what I’m getting on. As far as I’m concerned, I’m the best fighter to ever step into the UFC. No one else can hang this long. I ain’t quitting and everybody else is.” Watch the full interview with Ariel below:
